What is this website?
Quotelyo is a single-page personal-finance calculator for estimating SIP future value, loan payments, savings targets, and what remains of monthly income. All eight calculators switch on this same page, and the math stays in the browser; the numbers you enter do not leave the device, and you do not need to register. The currency menu includes the Indian rupee, US dollar, British pound, Canadian dollar, Australian dollar, Singapore dollar, UAE dirham, euro, and Japanese yen. It only changes how amounts are displayed, not the exchange rate. The default figures are examples, not posted bank rates, and the results are labeled as illustrative only.
Core features
- Estimate an SIP's projected value, amount invested, and illustrative gain from the monthly contribution, expected effective annual return, and number of years.
- Estimate the amount after compound growth from an initial principal, nominal annual rate, compounding frequency, and an optional monthly contribution.
- Calculate the monthly payment, total repayment, and total interest from the loan amount, annual rate, and term.
- Estimate how much more to save each month from a target amount, current savings, years available, and an optional expected return.
- Split monthly income into essential expenses, lifestyle expenses, savings and investments, debt payments, and other costs to see what remains.
- Estimate a payoff time from the balance, annual rate, and monthly payment, and also calculate a future nominal cost under assumed inflation or the maturity amount of a fixed deposit or recurring deposit.
Common use cases
- Someone about to start a fund SIP, before settling the monthly amount and duration, uses their own assumed return to see how far the projected value exceeds the amount invested.
- When comparing loan offers, a borrower changes the rate and term before signing and watches the monthly payment, total repayment, and total interest.
- Someone saving toward a set amount enters money already saved and how many years they can keep saving, then sees how much is still needed each month.
- After payday, someone sorting their budget splits income across expense categories and sees what is left to keep saving or to put toward debt.
- Someone holding a fixed deposit or recurring deposit substitutes their own rate and compounding frequency to estimate the maturity amount, instead of keeping the sample rate on the page.
Who is it for?
- People who want a rough scale from their own numbers before starting an SIP, taking a loan, or opening a deposit.
- Students and employees who would rather change a few assumptions in the browser than build a spreadsheet.
- People who prefer to read amounts in Indian rupees, or in another currency format the page supports. Changing the format does not convert the sum into another currency.
- A poor fit for anyone who needs live quotes, tax opinions, personalized investment advice, or an account and an order placed on the site. It only runs an illustrative calculation from the assumptions you enter.
How does it compare with similar tools?
Bank apps, fund-company calculators, and full budgeting software are usually tied to that institution's products and posted rates. Quotelyo has none of those connections: eight estimators switch on one page, you enter every rate, and the numbers stay in the browser. It is for seeing the scale first. For posted rates, taxes, credit scores, or an actual application, use the institution's own tool. The currency menu is not a substitute for exchange-rate conversion either.
Common questions
Q: Do Quotelyo's calculators cost money or require registration?
A: No. All eight tools open on the web page, the calculation runs locally in the browser, and the site does not ask you to log in.
Q: Can the calculated gain be treated as an actual return?
A: No. The page states that the result is illustrative only. The interest and inflation rates are assumptions you enter, not live market rates, and actual returns are not guaranteed.
Q: If I change the currency from Indian rupees to US dollars, is the amount converted at an exchange rate?
A: No. The currency option only changes how the number is displayed. The default example uses Indian rupees, and switching to US dollars does not recalculate it at an exchange rate.
Q: Are fixed deposits and recurring deposits the same calculator?
A: Yes. FD/RD can switch between a fixed deposit and a recurring deposit. Compounding can be yearly, half-yearly, quarterly, monthly, or daily.
